It was not fine.

Not even remotely fine.

We definitely are stuck on the roof of the grocery store, and I can’t seem to stop laughing my ridiculous ass of enough to work out a plausible plan.

Sara was supposed to be the sensible one, but she’s just as fucked up as the rest of us.

“This feels kinda awesome.” Jess grins from beside me.

I laugh. “Yeah, really does.”

She snorts. “We need help. I don’t think I can do those stairs again.”

I glance over to the fire escape stairs we climbed to get up here. “Nope. Me neither.”

“One of you needs to call someone,” Ria says. “Because the only person I’d call is you, Blakey.”

Sara holds a hand up. “I’d probably call one of you fucks, too.” Her eyes light up as she flaps her hands up and down. “This! This is why I don’t drink. I’m the one who gets the call!”

“Who the hell am I gonna call?” Jess laughs.

“Cole.” Ria smirks, referring to her brother’s friend that she’s been banging for a couple of years.

Jess snorts. “Yeah right.”

“That guy is an asshole,” I say, then pull my cell. “I’ll call Cameron. He’ll save us. Maybe.”

I squint into my cell to find his number then dial.

He’s sleepy when he answers, which has me checking the time. Whoops. I guess we’ve been here a while.

“Hi baby,” I slur, hoping I sound at least a little sexy. “Whatcha doing?”

“Fuck Blake.”

I can imagine his face all relaxed with sleep, sitting up, probably naked. Damn it. Without thinking, I squeeze my legs together.

“Girl, you got it bad,” Ria cackles. “You’re totally going to jump his bones when you get home.”

I shush her as Cam speaks again. “Where are you? Who’s giggling?”

“I’m with the girls, and we’re kinda stuck.”

“What? Where?”

“Uh.” I stall. “Promise you won’t get mad?”

“Blake.”

“Promise!”

He sighs. “Alright, fuck. I promise.” I can hear him shifting around. “Go on.”

“Well we’re at the grocery store near campus. On the roof. And we’re too steamed to get back down or get home.” I hiccup. “Come rescue us? Please. Thanks. Love you, bye!”

I disconnect the call before he can refuse and smile at the girls.

“I’m sure he’s going to come.”

Sara frowns. “He’s going to tell my parents. Asshole.”

Ria sniggers. “I’m sure Blakey can win him over with her tits, and then blackmail him into keeping his pretty mouth shut with her other fun stuff.”

I nod once. “I’m sure I can, too.”

Jess sighs happily. “I love you guys so much.”

It doesn’t take long for Cam to get here, with Hunter as back up. Probably smart, we’re pretty rowdy.

He looks almost pissed at first, but when I fall into him and press a noisy kiss against his cheek, he laughs and I know I’ve won him over.

Fuck, I love this guy too damn much.
